Elon Musk Says Tesla Might Leave California

Los Angeles, CA – Elon Musk – the owner of Space X and Tesla says that there is still a possibility for leaving California. Throughout 2020, the possibility of the EV spearhead has been picking up steam.

The possibility comes at a time when California is refusing to open businesses due to COVID-19.

Earlier this year, Elon Musk got into a heated debate with Palo Alto’s Governor. The Tesla factory was told to close down until the pandemic subsided. Musk, made a power move by reopening the factory despite legal issues.

Throughout the escapade, Musk mentioned that he will be moving the factory to Texas.

Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately.

Recently, when asked, Musk gave confirmation as a follow-up to his previous claims.

There’s no question that our headquarters will remain in California for the short term. Long term, we’ll have to wait and see.

Elon Musk Builds Outside Of US

Tesla is currently opening up new locations in China and Texas. Having both operations moving forward, the thought of relocating is still in his mind.

When talking to key members of the team that would need to move to Austin from California in order to get the factory going, Austin was their top pick. I guess a lot of people from California if you ask them what’s the one place you would move outside of California, it’s Austin… I went to our team and said, ‘Where do you want to spend time? And where would you potentially move?’ And they were like, ‘Well, Austin is just the No. 1 choice.’

Elon Musk has been spending no time away from his company. With COVID-19 slowing down virtually every industry, the auto market is no exception. In order for Tesla to continue to build their cars, they are taking great strides.
